The Building Safety (Wales) Act 2026, received Royal Assent on 27 April 2026, and while some provisions are already in force, many of its requirements are anticipated to be brought into force in phases. The Act aims to improve the safety of people living in multi-occupied residential buildings in Wales by introducing a new building safety regime focusing on the occupation and ongoing management of those buildings.
